My Story

I was 17 when I was diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis, an autoimmune condition that slowly damages the kidneys. Over the years, I’ve done everything I could to protect them: medications, lifestyle changes, and multiple rounds of chemotherapy in hopes of slowing the disease. I fought hard to stay healthy, active, and grounded.

Despite all of this, my kidney function has continued to decline, and I now live with Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease.

This climb, though challenging, has shifted something deep within me. It’s taught me to appreciate the small, beautiful things, a warm cup of coffee, the peacefulness of pottery, rolling out my yoga mat, learning something new, or sunlight on my face. Most of all, it has strengthened my love for the people in my life.

Asking for help takes both openness and trust. I’m choosing both right now because I’m hopeful. I’m searching for someone who might consider becoming a living kidney donor, someone who could help me continue this life I love.

Thank you for reading, for caring, and for walking this part of my story with me.
